What is chainmail?

Chainmaille (also known as chainmail, or simply maille) is typically armor or jewelry made by connecting metal rings to one another. The word maille derives from the French word maille (mesh), which comes from Latin macula (mesh of a net). Using pliers, link the rings—one at a time—into a pattern.

Why stainless steel?

I make jewelry from jump rings made of high quality stainless steel. It’s a durable material, definitely harder than silver. This makes it resistant to scratches and mechanical damage. Jewelry made of stainless steel doesn’t lose its charm over time, doesn’t change color, doesn’t rust. It doesn’t require special treatment, because it’s characterized by resistance to external factors. It will not react with your favorite perfumes, hairspray or soap.

Its benefits will be appreciated by allergy sufferers. Stainless steel is antiallergic and jewelry made of it is not allergic. Nickel is the most common cause of jewelry allergy, steel does not contain it. All these advantages and the highest quality of my jewelry make it unique. The variety of designs that I can create thanks to the small individual links allow you to make everyday, classic and richly decorated jewelry for special occasions. Everything is complemented by various types of accessories such as crystals that add shine and stones or colorful tassels.

About me. So how did it start …

I started my journey with handmade jewelry in 2011. A lot has changed since then. At the very beginning I did simple, classic projects. The reason for this is extremely prosaic – you can not create beauty without mastering the basics. Over the years I have learned different methods of jewelry making to finally find my favorite.

I constantly learn, develop my skills, discover patterns I do not know, and try to enlarge my range of projects so that everyone can find what they are looking for in jewelry. In mid-2014, my heart stole the chainnmaille technique. This method is characterized by the fact that individual and unique patterns can be arranged from individual jump rings. That’s why in my work I decided on it. It requires taking time, but, without a doubt, makes the effect beautiful and unusual.

I appreciate the moment when the modules and jump rings that are initially mismatched create jewelry, which puts a smile not only on mine, but above all on the faces of my clients and other people I gifted with. So I believe that everyone will find what they are looking for. Creating this jewelry gives me great satisfaction, and the biggest motivation for further development and polishing my workshop is your satisfaction.
